A Letter From Our Founder

There is something I have noticed throughout my own career, particularly among South Asian professionals.

Many of us are raised with a fairly straightforward definition of success: study hard, get a good job, work hard, take care of your family, and keep progressing. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

But it can also create a pattern where our entire professional identity exists inside our job. We do great work, but we don't talk about it. We develop expertise, but rarely share it. We solve difficult problems, but don't teach others what we learned. We don't speak, write, judge, mentor, publish, build things for the community, or otherwise contribute outside the boundaries of our employment.

Sometimes that's cultural. Sometimes we're simply busy. And sometimes nobody ever told us that these things matter.

Talent-based immigration forced me to think differently about that. When I started my own EB-1A journey, I looked at the criteria and realized that I already qualified for some of them. For others, I didn't.

But instead of asking, "How do I get this criterion?" I started asking a different question:

"Why am I not doing this already?"

If I had developed expertise that could help other people, why wasn't I sharing it? If I had learned something valuable through my work, why wasn't I contributing that knowledge back to my field? If I was doing meaningful work, why wasn't I making that work more visible?

So I started doing exactly that. I began contributing outside my day job. I started building resources and tools that other people could use. I became more intentional about sharing what I knew and participating in my professional community.

And somewhere along that journey, my philosophy became very simple: become better at what you do. The better job, the stronger professional reputation, the opportunities, and even the stronger immigration profile should be outcomes of that, not the other way around.

You Shouldn't Need Us

This might be an unusual thing for the founder of Jinee Green Card to say, but I genuinely believe it: if you start doing this from the beginning of your career, you probably don't need us.

Spend years becoming exceptional at your craft. Contribute beyond your immediate job. Share your knowledge. Help other people in your field. Build useful things. Speak when you have something worth saying. Write when you have something worth sharing. Judge the work of others when you've earned the expertise to do so. Document the impact of your work.

Do that consistently, and you're not simply "building an immigration profile." You're building a career.

The problem is that most of us don't start on day one. I didn't either. We usually begin thinking about these things when suddenly there is a deadline, our status is uncertain, the H-1B lottery didn't work out, our children are getting older, a priority date isn't moving, or somebody tells us about O-1A or EB-1A and we realize that we should have started years ago.

That's where I wanted Jinee Green Card to help.

What I Believe Our Job Actually Is

Our job is not to manufacture accomplishments for you. And our job is not to pretend that we can turn you into a subject matter expert. You already are the subject matter expert.

Our job is to remove as much of the manual work surrounding you as possible so that you can spend your limited time doing the things that actually require your expertise. That means our team can research opportunities, conduct outreach, identify relevant organizations, surface high quality opportunities, help organize evidence, track progress, and present you with things that may genuinely make sense for your background.

  • Our attorneys and immigration experts can join our community sessions and explain what they're seeing, how different criteria work, and what trends they're observing.
  • Our mentors can help you understand the different ways professionals contribute to their fields.
  • Our program managers can keep the process moving and hold you accountable when life and work inevitably get busy.
  • Our technology can take away more of the research, organization, tracking, and repetitive work.

But there is one thing we cannot automate: your contribution.

If there is an article to write, you need to have something meaningful to say. If there is a presentation to give, the expertise has to be yours. If there is a project to build, you have to contribute. If there is an opportunity to help your professional community, you have to show up.

That's a line I never want Jinee Green Card to cross.

Why Our Programs Take Time

This is also why our programs are intentionally designed around a longer journey. If someone comes to us looking to manufacture an extraordinary profile in two or four months, we're probably not the right company for them.

Real professional credibility takes time. You need time to contribute, time for other people to use your work, time to demonstrate impact, time to build relationships within your field, and time to become known for something beyond the title written on your LinkedIn profile. That's why many of our programs are structured over as long as two years.

We're not trying to race through a checklist. We're trying to help you build something that is real.

Our Commitment to You

If you work with Jinee Green Card, I want our relationship to be transparent from the beginning. We cannot promise you an EB-1A, O-1A, or EB-2 NIW approval. Nobody should. We cannot create expertise that doesn't exist. And we cannot make your contribution for you.

What we can do is give you infrastructure around your ambition. We can save you hundreds of hours of research and manual work. We can help you understand where you stand. We can identify gaps. We can bring relevant opportunities to you. We can surround you with people who understand the journey. We can help you stay accountable. And we can help make sure that the meaningful things you accomplish don't disappear simply because nobody documented them.

But ultimately, you have to do the work that matters. And I actually think that's what makes this process valuable, because the best possible outcome isn't simply that, at the end of this journey, you have a stronger immigration profile.

It's that you became better at what you do. You contributed something meaningful to your field. More people know your work. Your career became stronger. And your immigration profile became stronger because of it.

That's the kind of company I wanted to build. And that's what I want the Jinee Green Card to stand for.

Sincerely,

Sahil Nyati
